Ekphrasis

Ekphrasis, basé dans le sud de la France, est un groupe de métal progressif aux influences divers. Rassemblant des musiciens d'horizons musicaux divers (fusion, métal, soul, jazz, etc.) Ekphrasis a pris le pari de mélanger tous les styles qui leur passent sous les doigts.

La recherche musicale a toujours été au centre des préoccupations du groupe afin de se faire une place dans la scène métal internationale.

Ekphrasis fût créé en 2020 par Benjamin Savariau par le biais de la sortie digitale du premier album « Weird Interbreeding » sous forme de one-man-project. Au vue des nombreuses critiques élogieuses de sites et webzines spécialisées, le groupe se format avec Franck Hermanny (Adagio, Shawn Lane, Stephan Forté) à la basse, et Clément Pernet (Rio Mandingue, bESS) à la batterie. Chaque partie, intialement programmées, fûrent réenregistrées à la l'occasion de la sortie d'une nouvelle version de Weird Interbreeding sous le label Unicorn Digital
